On Thursday, authorities had found a cache of weapons containing more than 12 guns, several rounds of ammunition along with body armor. All these were found during the time of arrest of a man named Tyrone Johnson, who is suspected of having committed dual homicide in Alabama. 37-year old Johnson was wanted in having linked with the shooting of two men just outside a motorcycle club in Huntsville on 27th March.
Statement Put Out By The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department
An official statement concerning the findings has been released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. As per their statement, the task force of a US Marshal managed to find 17 guns, a couple of sets of body armor along with thousand rounds of ammunition after they arrested Johnson from his home in Nashville. This has the potential to be one of the top trending national news stories in which people would be interested in knowing further details and how the case progresses from here onwards. The Police Department has also shared the same news along with related pictures in their official twitter handle.
Details Of The Shooting That Had Taken Place
Reports continue to crop up linked with the shooting of bike gang in Alabama, due to which Tyrone Johnson was taken into custody on Thursday by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. As per recent information, the shooting had injured two more people apart from the bike gang and it was also one of the three shootings that had taken place outside the club in 8 hours. The Chief of Police in Huntsville, while describing the incident, said that it was an outburst of underlying tensions that were on, between the bike gangs.
Police have also stated that Johnson has been captured on a bond of $500,000. Moreover, they are going to extradite the suspect to Alabama. There is still no clarity as to whether he has retained an attorney or not.
Second Suspect Involved In The March Incident
The shooting incident that had taken place just outside a club, back in March, had resulted in the killing of Kelcey Smith and Bernard Griffin. Tyrone Johnson is the second suspect involved in committing this crime. It is tough to say whether there is any political angle linked with the killings. Though the reports to date do not suggest rivalries in the world of politics is very common. If any such news would have come up to suggest that this incident was indeed the result of a political tussle between two rivals, then that could have surely taken a significant place among all the current political news stories.
The first suspect, named Albert Vinson is 31 years old and had been charged earlier in April. The charge was based on two counts. The first one happened to be of having committed first-degree murder, assault of the first-degree, and having discharged a weapon into a desolate building. Reports also suggest that his release had taken place on 18th April. It is still not clear if Vinson has retained an attorney.
